All Sweet Pedtooties™ modern mukluk boots are designed and handcrafted in Manitoba, Canada for tots, kids and adults and reflect this great Canadian tradition. Sweet Pedtooties™ is the brainchild of Co-Presidents Susie Freedman Tapper and Mara Zipursky. What started out as a soft-soled shoe company for infants, soon evolved into a soft-soled like boot company for everyone. Frustrated with the big, high minimum, bang ‘em out, shoe factory business overseas, Susie and Mara decided it was time to go local. Their goal was to create a high quality product while infusing money into the local economy. They knew that traditional mukluks could be made in Manitoba, however, they weren’t crazy about the same old mukluks they were seeing on everyone else. They wanted to retain the warmth and comfort of traditional mukluks while infusing a hip, modern and urban flair – with a touch of elegance.
